Sostituiamo le corde

Qualche consiglio su come montare una nuova muta di corde sulla chitarra elettrica

Un corretto montaggio delle corde è un'operazione semplice e alla portata di tutti, anche del dilettante, a condizione che si osservino alcune accorgimenti:

1 Rimuovere le vecchie corde senza lasciare residui sulle meccaniche o sul ponte.

2 Sostituire sempre tutta la muta possibilmente con la stessa scalatura, questo eviterà di intervenire su altre regolazioni ( action e tensione del manico )

Vi consiglio di approfittare della tastiera libera per pulire accuratamente i tasti i pick up il ponticello e la cassa sotto le corde con un panno di cotone asciutto.

A questo punto preparate le corde infilandole nel ponticello, iniziate dal mi basso facendo attenzione a non lasciare laschi sul ponticello, fate tre giri in senso antiorario sulla meccanica corrispondente ed infilate sopra le spire la corda nella meccanica.

Fate attenzione a non sovrapporre le spire tra loro per non creare potenziali laschi meccanici, tendete la corda al centro come la corda di un arco e girate la meccanica fino ad andare in tensione, in questo modo la corda è stabile e l'angolo di incidenza con il capotasto sarà maggiore consentendo un maggior sustain nella corda a vuoto.

Ripetete questa operazione per ogni corda e buon banding a tutti

Sandro Agostini

Curriculum Vitae

Sandro Agostini inizia la sua attività di musicista all'inizio degli anni 70 suonando covers dei Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Grand Funk Railroad e dei nuovi gruppi emergenti in quel periodo come Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, Tempest e molti altri formandosi una buona esperienza nel rock blues con influenze classiche e jazzistiche.
A metà degli anni 70 suona in varie band un repertorio che allora si chiamava Jazz Rock, oggi identificato come "fusion" suonando e componendo musiche originali.
Inizia l'attività professionale di musicista familiarizzando con i classici e arricchendo il suo bagaglio tecnico e musicale con esperienze ed atmosfere più soft come la musica sudamericana e il Jazz standard.
Frequenta i corsi avanzati di chitarra Jazz del '"Suono Improvviso" a Venezia, e suona con alcune Cover Band. Con i Dogs and Pigs presenta un repertorio d’autore caratterizzato da un’altissimo livello tecnico ( i gruppi di riferimento sono i Tempest e i Patto ) e con i LeaderShip ( cover band Deep Purple ) partecipa al Leone D'Oro di Venezia piazzandosi al terzo posto nel settore musica Rock.
Con il cantante americano Bruce Wilson Boreham cantante californiano formatosi alla scuola dei jazzisti Jay Clayton e Bob Stoloff del " Vocal Summit " di Bobby Mc Ferrin ed al " Roy Art Teatre " in Francia forma il duo Aquarius, proponendo con arrangiamenti personali i classici della West Coast Americana e affrontando il difficile compito di usare la sola chitarra per sostenere il canto e realizzando arrangiamenti per mandolino elettrico e slide guitar.

Altra collaborazione importante sempre nell'ambito della formazione degli Aquarius è quella con Luigi Podda ( Sax e voce ) primo premio al Concours International Adolphe Sax ( 1990, Saint-Nome-La-Bretèche,Paris ) e Sax nei tour di Marcella Bella.
All’inizio degli anni 90 inizia l’attività di insegnante specializzandosi nella teoria dell’improvvisazione e nella pratica strumentale insegnando in varie scuole di musica.
